Svt vr and active bass?

Hi, there's no input gain or pad button or clip led in the vr. How can I know if the bass signal is too loud? I guess this vr were made for passive basses but I also use active and don't want to break anything...

You wont break anything. Plug in, turn up, play.

If the input gain gets too high, you will hear ****** distortion. In which case, turn down your guitar volume knob to suit your ears.

Plenty of amps don't have a padded input, my markbass doesn't, just use the volume knob appropriately.
