Sign in to disble this ad
hello,

I was trying svt loud american and svt vietnam and I found out the the amercian one has the wood on the top cutted straight and the vietnam has a curve (I'm talking about the wood on the top of the amp just where it ends, up the front controls) it was cutted straight and the vietnam is rounded can anybody confirm this?

I also need an example of a made in usa loud svt serial number to see if mine is ok. mine starts with "dwvus" and then 5 numbers. according with the slm info this amps seems to be made for the uk but I was sold in europe (wich has a different letter in the code) can anybody tell me somethin about first lour years made in usa serial numbers code?

Thank you.

The "S" in position 5 is date code 2006, which is right for the very first VR units, US made.

What is the number right after that?

Doesn't the UK and Europe both use the same voltage? BTW, I saw a pic of it and it's legit, so don't worry about that.

The UK is 230v 50Hz now, it used to be 240v a few years (decade or so maybe?) back.

Spain is also 230v 50Hz I think, but used to be lower (210v or 220v). We use different plugs though, but that shouldn't be an issue.

I think the letter in the serial number could be more to do with warranty than actual functionality? I think we also have the same hazard (RoHS) laws. So it wouldn't matter in a second hand amp. But I could be wrong.
