SVT-VR with Morley ABY Switch pedal

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey all,

I'm not really sure where to put this, but since it's probably more amp related than anything, I figured it would be best to post here.

Anyway, I was thinking of using a Morley ABY pedal to switch between the two channels of my SVT-VR via pedal, and if needed, run both inputs at the same time.

As I understand, it should work. I'm currently using a patch cable to bridge both channels. I go into the Normal input of channel 1, and bridge between the bright input of channel 1 and the normal input of channel 2. The Morley ABY would just give me more versatility and flexibility.

Would it sound any different if I just use the pedal to go into both normal inputs of both channels, instead of bridging over the bright input? Is it a good idea at all?

I don't see why that wouldn't work.

I've used A/B/Y pedals in order to feed signal to two channels on the same amp (works great on SVTs)...or sometimes feed two separate amps.

I typically use both channels with dry signal going to one channel and wet signal (delay, reverb, chorus) going to the other channel.

Morley wouldn't be my first choice though.

I did this for a period of time and found the morley produced a lot of noise. I switched to the "Radial Tonebone Switchbone". This ABY is awesome, definitely recommended if seriously considering running two amps at once.
