I've used/owned cl and Marshall vba and now a svt 7 for a few weeks, in my humle opinion (good old spellcheck) the 7 has been a revelation, smart, light, loads of power never been beyond 1 o'clock in a loud band, and in a band mix all the tones ill ever need! Enjoy your decision making

After much much reading and consideration,
I've decided it's going to be the Ampeg 810 cabinet
and the SVT pro7 with a Carvin 2 space
case. Being 57 years old and thinking of lifting the
VR four feet up onto the 810 helped a little in
the decision as well. By what I'm reading, the pro7
Sounds great, plenty head room, sturdy, dependable,
and on the light side. I've also read there are a few
Floor box options that may help a little on the
desired "tube" sound. Going this route also
gives me more head room money wise for a new
Birdsong short scale bass. Oh Santa Baby...
