SVT210AV clanks when titled

Hi,

I just noticed that my SVT210AV makes a strange clanking sound when tilted, as is something is loose inside. Now what could that be? I removed the grill, but can't seem to look further inside.

I'd also pull one of the speakers and have a look inside.
There shouldn't be anything clanking around.
Are both speakers working?
If not, maybe something worked loose from the back of one.

If your not comfortable pulling one of the speakers, I'd suggest taking it back to the store you purchased it from while it's still under warranty.

maybe someone at the factory left a screwdriver inside....pull a speaker and have a look-see.

It's just the reverb tank.

201av shouldn't clank when tilted. i agree with looking inside for something banging around in there. might just be a loose screw or something. hard to say without being there.

Speaker wire that's a little too long flapping against the speaker or wall?
I've found screws and/or T-nuts inside speaker cabs (don't know if the 210av used t-nuts or not).

Probably not big deal to find and fix the problem, but not fixing it could destroy a speaker...(one screw I found had worked its way into the speaker so that it was wedged between the back of the cone at the edge and the basket...)

I had a cab once that did that. Turned out a magnet had fallen off the back of a speaker. NO JOKE. Crazy stuff.
