SVT350h or Hartke lh500? help!

I've never been so unsure about gear before, but here it goes. I used to play a lot in funk/reggae style Jam bands that were dominant in my New England beach town back in the day. played various fenders through a peavey 215D BW, then I got married and bought a house and all that junk. now I'm starting to jam with friends in my new garage and i knew that the 215's had to go(getting older and its heavy!) so i sold my cab and back-up cab to a guy on Craigslist, used that money to buy a used Eden 210XLT from daddy s with a warranty. to my surprise the Eden had two blown speakers which are being replaced under warranty! so i basically scored a brand new 210xlt for $250! anyway Ive been using my dads music man 210 for the time being and I'm not really feeling the SVT's grit anymore and would prefer a cleaner sound with the option of getting dirty with pedals. my old rig was perfect for what i used to do but i think I've grown up and just want something more versatile in my rig, i also plan on getting an Eden 115 in the future.

So when i was at daddy's bringing my Eden cab in I also brought my SVT in for testing purposes, i also usually bring a box of old mixers and stuff i don't need anymore for trade in case something catches my eye. what caught my eye was a brand new Hartke Lh500 that i played for a while through a hydrive 410, i loved the sound, the simplicity and the newness! the guy at daddy's said i could score that head if i traded in my SVT for $250 and my box o junk and still end up with cash in my pocket! very tempting.

So even though i love my Ampeg and know it very well, i feel like its an odd combination with my new found love for Eden. in my new band we've been making various covers into our own blues/funk alternative style , so i feel like i need something different.

Any opinions would be helpful or if you just want to tell me to quit bitching that's fine to. Unless told other wise I'll be getting a new Lh500 tomorrow.

350h is decent but between the two i'd probably go for the lh500.

I was in the same boat, as I have a 79 SVT, and wanted something with nuts but a bit cleaner. I bought the LH500. Could NOT be happier.

none whatsoever. Owned it a year yesterday, been great. My friend Rob bought one on my suggestion and his has been flawless as well. I bought mine through Sweetwater, best price, and came with their 2 year warranty too.

well its final. i got a good trade in for my ampeg and now there's a brand new LH500 sitting on top of my eden 210. sounds sweet with my passive p-bass and cant wait to here my p-lytes new pre-amp through it. but there's one issue. i got a display model and I'm not sure if its been abused or not. the salesman said he could have a new one in the box sent down next week. i think i may swap it out for the new one but i dont know.
