Svt5 pro + svt7 pro hybrid?

I played a 7 pro recently. It sounded so much more smooth and crisp than my 5pro. Coincidentally my 5pro just had it's capacitors go.

While it's in the shop, I decided to have some components swapped out to make it sound more like the 7. Looking at specs online, it seems like the only difference was in the tubes. 12ax7 in the 5, and a jj 12ax7 in the 7.

I figure I'll just swap the 5 with this "jj" model of tube. But my question is what is the make of the 12ax7 that comes standard in the 5? And what other changes can I possibly make to make it sound more like the 7?

Your 5 Pro is always going to be a 5 Pro, bro. It's got an iron power transformer, not a switchmode power supply like the 7 Pro. That power supply is the difference. You can retube it till the cows come home and it will sound the same.
