Sign in to disble this ad
Hello, i currently use a Ashdown ABM evo III 2x10.
Great combo, i love it but... transporting it... absolute pain as i have no car and taxis are expensive...
Most venues we play have decent enough bass cabs..
Therefore i was thinking sell the combo and buy a nice head..
We play hard rock music, i like my sound to be clear, crisp, aggressive and able to cut through 2 guitars..
Any recommendations??
I wad thinking maybe the GK 700rb.. |

The ABM 1000 has lots of thump and headroom for days. And it sounds like a EVO III on steroids.

I will of course buy speakers for it eventually |

It could happen... what about practicing alone at home? It may fit the bill for you but wouldn't for most bassist I know....

You could get a WTX500 or WTX264 depending on your power needs. Plus they are 4.5 pounds or something like that. Also, you could get the head gigbag they make for them. Very easy to transport!
Eden also has a 'gig rig' that includes a WTX264, 1x10 cab, and gigbag for $699 brand new! |

Id assume most cabs would have an input for 4 / 8 ohms, and im always DI'd anyway so wouldnt matter...
See i do like the tiny amps... but i am dubious haha
I have been reading about the GK's saying that to get the full potential you need a GK cab.. not sure if thats true though!!
Ill check out some Edens! |
