SWR Amplight?

Anyone have experience with the new SWR amplight as power for a preamp? Looks intriguing...thinking about the potential of using one with the new Sansamp VT Bass Deluxe. Is anyone else making small digital power amps that don't need a rack?

the only other one i know of is www.putnamguitars.com who will install an icepower power amp module into any box you want.

Check out this thread. I need a small poweramp (non-rack), +/- 1000W@4ohm

There a quite a few options for micro poweramps. I used both the GK MB2-500 and Genz Shuttle 6.0 as a poweramp just plugging in the effects return. Worked great.

Unless they've changed the price from the initial offering (I haven't checked back), I still think these things are cost-prohibitive purely based on a dollars per watt perspective.

ya but the preamp also adds a couple hundy to the price.
