I´m thinking of getting this one to power up my SansAmp Bass Driver and VT Bass, and feed the signal to my Ampeg 8x10.

Does anyone use the Amplite in this matter?

I play with a hard-hitting drummer and two loud guitarists, will the 400 watts of the Amplite be enough?

Maybe it´s a better idea to get a lightweight amp, like the Ampeg PF-500, Eden WTX500 or something in that category, and run the signal straight to the FX return or power amp in?

Ya know, I haven't read of anyone using one of these here on TB yet. I was really interested in it until I saw the cost. You can find light weight micro amps used fairly cheap in comparison. As far as quality difference, I wish I could offer some insight. You might want to research some of the micro head threads started here for Genz, Markbass, GK, or even Aguilar before you commit to the Amplite.

I think some posters will tell you that's fine. I see nothing wrong with the signal chain, and as folks on this board always say, more speakers is the most important thing for more volume. So I would imagine you'll be good and loud!

I'd be interested to hear the results, that's for sure.

I would imagine it will be great, also interested in hearing the results! If your goal is to use the VT Bass as the entire preamp / tone section of your rig, then using one of the micro heads is just redundant. Still... an MB500 is $50 bucks less than an Amplite - $150 bucks less if you use GuitarCenter's coupon code this weekend.
