SWR AmpLite ok in a 1-space rack?

hey there all.

i have ZERO experience with micro heads. i've been using a QSC power amp for awhile that's a two spaced beasty.

thinking about getting a pair of SWR AmpLite's and chucking them into a 1 space rack. will there be overheating issues?

actually, as long as the vents aren't blocked, it should be fine.

With amplite it is ok, do not try this with headlite as it has vents on the side (fail!).

Couldn't you drill a couple of 1/8" holes in the side of the rack for the fan? This would work a little better with something like an SKB or Gator plastic rack. You could put a 1" plastic port, or grommet in the sidewall of the case. With as little heat as these amps put out, I wouldn't think you would need much.

lol.... well jimminy, i'd PLANNED wrapping it in a jacket and putting it in a fat lady's purse.

... 'cause Big GrrLs are more likely to have bcon and skittles on their person.
