SWR AmpLite questions

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello, I am thinking of buying one the SWR amplites to pair with my newly bought Alembic F1X... I cannot seem to find too much info on these.
I just want to confirm thats it OK to use with other preamps (other than the headlite that is) and that i can run it with a single 8 ohm cab if I want?
I know its 400 watts and Im assuming thats at 4 ohms...
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks
-Tom

I've had one for a few months and have used it with different preamps, 4 and 8 ohm cabs. I really like the thing....fits in the pocket of a pedaltrain jr bag. If you are using it with different cabs buy a speakon to 1/4" speaker cable (comes with speakon/speakon) as the amp itself is only speakon out. I've run into this a couple of times at rehearsal rooms with 1/4" only bass cabs.

oh, yeah....water under the bridge, yes?
