I LOVED my Big Ben. One of the few pieces of gear I regret selling. You will love it. Congrats.

Is it going under that Ampeg 15'? I have the old model with a Bag End Driver and it sounds soooo deep. I rarely use it because of all the other gear I have but I've always kept it for special occasions. i.e. Reggae or Korn covers.

I'll put it under my SWR Baby Baby Blue and it makes that little 160W amp sound thunderous!!

If you like a thick bottom end and well defined mids, your in for a treat. Congratulations on the purchase.

Anyone know what kind of 18" speaker is in the Big Ben now?

I am not sure what I will use it for! Might just be the start of a new rig.

How do the 4 sound together. Is the response a bit delayed or do you find it has some immediacy to it?

I had a Big Ben for a while and ultimately moved back to large-box 115s (Bag End S15B-D). But I loved the Ben. One of the cool things about the SWR is that the speakers they use are very quick for an 18 - no sloppiness or lag. They actually work fine as a full range cab.

You'll love your Big Ben.
I use mine for years w/ no 2nd cab with a 350X, & more recently a GK MB500.
It performs wonderfully as a stand alone cab with my 5 & 6 strings.
(Two would indeed be just plain awesome though.)

The few times it's been paired it up with my Kustom G410H, you could take out elephants.
