SWR Black Beauty

Hi, I'm thinking to buy the SWR black beauty 350W.
With my band we play classic rock and some blues rock.
Is this amp suitable for this kind of music?
On the other hand I'm also thinking about Ampeg PF-500.
Portability or weight isn't the criterion. Only the sound!
So what do you think?

I've had a few SWR Workingman & Working Pro amps (not a black beauty). I've got many Ampegs including a PF500. With that experience in mind, I'd go with the PF500.
