Hey there...
I currently have a SWR 350x sitting on top of an Eden 410xlt on top of a SWR Son of Bertha 115. I have the potential of buying a SUNN 1200s (the Fender-ized one) for about 100 dollars. It has a few issues, but I can fix them, and even if I had to take it to a tech for one of them it wouldn't be super expensive to fix. My question is this: If it is 1200 watts at 2 ohms, and I have two 8 ohm cabs, that is roughly 800 watts at 4 ohms. The Eden is rated for 700, and the SWR at 350. If I don't really turn up (I don't see why I would have to go past a quarter of the Master volume) will It be ok and still pump out enough power to move the tens? I know that it should be, but I guess since SWR tends to not be super accurate on their ratings, I have my doubts about it in particular. I just want to move the tens more and then gain more more volume from that extra air being scattered! Sorry if this sort of walks on previous posts about ohms and watts. Thanks!

You'll be fine. 700W is the maximum power your speakers will take thermally. Odds are the maximum exersion would be achieved well under 700W. Since the impedance is matched, your power will be evenly distributed between the 2 cabs meaning about 400W to each cab. Given the high efficiency of Eden cabs, you'd get a lot of volume out of that 410.

For the price, I'd think the SUNN 1200S would be a great deal. However, it seems like you won't be needing a lot of volume, so it's probably not necessary. I'd be more concerned about mixing cabs and the tonal differences between SUNN and SWR.

That head goes VERY loud at 2ohms and will put out a good 800watts into 4ohms which should push your cabs very nicely without damaging things

You'll have to listen closer to the 115 for when you're pushing things hard because that will start distorting before the 10's due to it's lower wattage rating

the Sunn 1200s is essentially the preamp from their 300PRO tube head mated with the MB-1200 poweramp that I have. I had the 300PRO back a few years ago and I would be more concerned about finding your tone with that preamp than the danger of damaging things with the poweramp. That preamp is quite tricky to get used to with so many different ways to adjust and set it...

Had one and liked it. It definitely gets loud.

I would recommend swapping out the 12ax7 preamp tube for a 12au7 because it clips really easily with the 12ax7.

I currently own two of those beastly Sunn amps. They are sick. If you're not careful, you can get the speakers flapping easily.
