As to the brightness/transparency knob,I'm with you..It really doesn't seem to affect anything on my Super Redhead either.. |

12-02-2012, 12:02 PM
| | | | The cab is 55 lbs. I would love to find another to go with it but its a rare cab. The heads only pushing 240w to it. |

The Trasparency centers the Treble tone control one octave up, noticed best on slapping.

It boosted the lows and the frequencies traveled through the club like a hot knife through butter, to use and old cliche.
It was almost too much, but I figured, "What the heck. The bass player *should* be louder than everyone else !" |

| | | I used a Bass 750 through two G3s. On one outside gig the sound man took me out of the mains. Said it was enough.
I've gigged my BBII more than any other piece. Last night it started making a wahhhhhhh sound. Prayed it would last the night. It did. Had to turn it off then on and it sounded fine, four times. Probably a cold solder joint. It had a cap job already.
Love it.

The Gain was at 12 o'clock and the Master between 1 and 2,playing a Fender Jazz w/S1 circut..A well respected but notoriously picky(guitard) local artist stopped by for a set and said when he got out of his car halfway down the block, all he could hear was my bassline..He came in thinking to tell me I was way too loud to find it wasn't much louder inside,it was because the bass was so focused and clear it just carried forever. I've been able to get a great sound in every setting I've put it in and it retains its tone at any volume..I just love this rig |

Also, if you are having problems getting the "brightness" up on your amp, start by changing the tube, everyone will say what tube is best for that preamp, but I prefer ECC83s tubes. Hands down. If that does not help, then I would recommend service. Something just is not right.

Something just is not right. | thank you so much. ive been waiting for a 100 percent reply. i will take it in tomorrow. although i could change the tube, the pull knobs still not working bothers me. i have a workingpro 700 and although the 750 is noticably warmer, the brightness on the wp700 is waaaay better. i play a fender p with a pick, bass only halfway up, mid level and freq on 7, and still have to put the treble up to 8 to get a clear picking sound. |

I have finally made some progress into getting my first SWR rig almost fully together. Running a SWR Bass 750 through a Workingman's 410T(for now) and a Goliath III. I really would like for the WM410T to be a GIII but, in due time... in due time.
Anyways, can I get an official fan club number or do I need to post some pics before that can happen?

I think someone said like the redface Bass 350, it's a Silverado chasis. I love the perfect blend of growl and clarity.
Personally, I have owned some Workingman's 410's that blew away Goliaths. I own and owned both. They are both great, but the WM410 just gets such GREAT low end !!
