SWR Goliath 610 vs. Genz Benz 610 XB vs. Ampeg 610

Looking for your opinion if you have giged with either of these. There is a SWR 610 at my local GC and a GEnz at my local independent guy. I have a Genz shuttle 9.0 head so I'm leaning in the Genz direction, but want to hear some feedback from you guys who have played them. OR the Ampeg SVT 610. One of those at GC as well. So what do YOU think?

Of the three choices, I've owned the SWR Goliath post Fender. It was a very good cab. If you can get a pre-Fender, I say jump on it.

Why would a pre Fender cab be better??

I have a shuttle 9.0.I bought the Uba 4x10 designed for that head.I tried it out at home and found that the 4x10 cab was way more than i would ever need.It is loud and I don't do those kind of gigs anymore. Its never been out of the house, its brand spanking new and I now want to sell it at a loss for $900! The 4x10 can handle every bit of that amp.

Fender sourced different drivers. SWR used P.A.S. 10" in all of their Golliath cabs until Fender took over and had Eminence supply a similar driver. I've had little experience with the Fender era 10's. The P.A.S. ones were great sounding though...

Actually I prefer the Eminence 10"s. Not nearly as prone to frying as the PAS.

Hey Barry, I hear ya bub, I wan't even thinking about a 610 till these 3 showed up at the local stores I visit. The Genz 610 is only $500 obo. The SWR is even less $$! I only have about $400 to spend anyway.

So how about this for an option. The local GC just took in a SWR Henry 8x8, any thoughts?
