Interesting, it's not on SWR's site!

http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/golight112/

"Front slot port for deep expression."

No, it's not just you. That's why I added the proper link.

Just thought the marketing blurb about the front port resulting in 'deep expression' was uh....creative.

The dimensions are VERY similar. Is it worth nearly twice as much? Uhhhhh...I'll bet two GKs sound a LOT better than one GoLight but who knows?

For that price and weight, I'd toss an extra $100 on there and get in line for a Thunder Child. Weighs a pound less, down to 4 ohms, and beats the snot out of every 2x10 I've tried in terms of volume, dispersion, and projection.

Hard to say whether they themselves are morons, or just marketing toward morons. I mean, I looked there and saw a small tube port, but no SLOT PORT, and that "deep expression" crap belongs in cheapie computer system ads targeted at juveniles.

And way to go SWR: you should put more badges/emblems in the tweeter path. Probably some of its output is getting past what you have there right now without unduly reflecting ; }

... and why do I always think of Audrey Hepburn and Henry Mancini when I see those things?

Went to go buy an Aguilar cab today, came home with this one instead
About twice the volume as the Aggie and just as clear/punchy
Deep sound and ridiculously light for the size of the box its in, really excited to gig with this one

Interesting - it looks like it would make a great mini-rig along with my SWR Headlite. Why don't they list speaker cab ohms ratings on most retailer's sites? Doesn't make much sense to list the power handling without listing what ohms that's going into.

I also noticed they carry the sealed Marcus Miller 4x10, but not the standard ported 4x10 - I wonder why?

SWR's site should have that info
The 112 isn't even listed there yet, but it's rated at 350 watts for 8ohms
They also had the 210 at the shop and that was rated 400 watts at 8ohms
I think I've read that the Marcus is 4ohms, but don't know anything about the other sizes
Gave a pretty thorough basement test with my rig when I got home and it pairs real nice with my Little Mark II
