SWR Headlite compressor

Sign in to disble this ad
Dont have access to an SWR Headlite to check one out but am interested in a micro amp with a useable onboard compressor.

What are they like on the headlite?
Are they like the Eden WT405 single dial compressor?

Been trying to find anything on You Tube that shows the compressor being used but cant find anything.

Anyone have any audio files they can post to hear the compressor being used?

The compressor on the headlite is also a single knob compressor. I dont use it very heavy, just enough to protect my speakers from spikes when playing louder. It is quite sensitive and doesnt need much of a turn to get into heavy compression. I found it very similar to the compressor on the newer hartke ha3500's. I have owned my headlite for 6 months now and find it a great little head, they just dont seem to get the recognition they deserve. One thing i really like about this head is that you can defeat the aural enhancer for a flatter response. I got the head for times i dont feel like hauling my svt but found I use it alot because it is so flexable and i love the tone. It is one of the smallest micros and fits nicely in the pocket of my gig bag. I havn't tried the eden but would assume the compressor is similar. I thought this head was one of my better purchases and am totally happy with it.
