I picked up a used Goliath Senior 6x10 cabinet for $250 today!
Now I need to decide on the proper amp head for my needs. I don't think I need more than 500 watts so that leaves alot of options on the table. I have traditionally used SWR and GK.
I'm thinking MB500 GK right or the SWR Headlight, thoughts.
This is my first post, I'm new to TalkBass. |

I got mine slightly used about ten years ago (pre-Fender), but haven't used anything other than my SM500 to drive it. It still kicks some serious booty. If you've never played through one before, prepare yourself to be amazed at how loud the senior can get.
My SM500 is (what else) 500 watts bridged, and it leaves plenty of headroom for more volume if needed. It's even worked well for most outdoor events given ample PA support.
Congrats on your SWR score!

As for head, that cab is rated at 5.3 ohms / 1200 watts, if memory serves...
