Taking the tweeter out

Hi all, I've got a Mark bass HR151STD a 1x15" + horn rear ported cab.
Basically I never use the Horn, so I wnated to take it outta the 'chain'.
Can I simly remove the wires from it- making sure to remove the x-over from the signal chain too?
Turning the horn OFF AFAIK will give me a cab that goes UP TO the X-over point won't it?
So taking the Horn & x-over out of the chain SHOULD give me the 15" driver in full range?
Am I correct?
