So I have a my GK head racked in an Anvil Forge ATA style rack case and the little spring loaded catches rattle like a mofo on certain low notes.
How do you guys deal with this?

Turn up louder so you can't hear the latches rattle. LOL! I have the same problem with my 6U Gator lightweight rack. All the parts on that thing rattle and it's still in likke-new condition. I have tried (and still use) a 1/4" thick, high density foam pad b/t the rack and the 212 cab it sits on. It has minimal effect, to be honest. I'm considering buying a traditional wooden rack in hopes that the extra weight will offset/absorb the vibration, but I'd hate to spend $150-someodd bucks for nothing.

I have one of those tilt-back combo amp stands that my rack will fit on, but that's one more thing to carry/setup, takes up more room and just doesn't look as cool as the rack sitting on the cab does.

SKB rack cases have butterfly latches on the lids. Take the lids off, no parts to rattle.

True dat. And they are a little heavier than the Gator racks. I mistakenly went w/Gator for this rack due to their lower weight and price vs. SKB. As EpiRipper said, SKBs have no parts to rattle.

Though as I've found out, some of your gear may rattle itself! I have a very expensive QSC PLX that has the most AWFUL rattle you've ever heard. I think I've almost got the problem licked though. At this point the only thing I haven't hot glued down or isolated with foam spacers is the "mainboard" itself. It sits on brass standoffs (like a computer motherboard) inside the amp chassis. I think it's that thing that doing all the rattling. Will try to fix this weekend.
