My guitar player is very inspired by my Genz benz Neo gear. In South Koera we sometimes have to transport our own gear if the club has nothing. This sometimes means the subway is our band van. Not fun. He's looking for something about 75 watt, 12" speaker, about 35lbs or so, and runs on 110/220v or just 220 if that's all it can do.

Locally some items are available but most often at twice the price I can get it from the states for.

The Viper series looks promising and so does Peavy but I don't think those amps easily take both 110 and 220. God I love my Genz for this!

Any recomendations?

tube or traditional solid state gear is not as easy to switch over as some of the newer technology. and if he wants 75w of tube gear, good luck sticking to the 35lb limit.

I would look at the new Roland Cube series. I'm not sure about the voltage compatability, but they are remarkably good modelling amps for the money and weight.

Check out Tech 21 guitar amps. They're manageable and great sounding modeling amps.
