Got am email from my local retailer indicating that the Blacksmith is now in stock... if I can find the time on the weekend, I'm going to try and give it a quick walk through, but the price tag attached to bringing it home has me developing a slight eye twitch...
This amp could well be the end all of amps for me, but I'm pretty sure I won't/don't need all that power... but dang, it sure is pretty lookin!
And I can't help but think how killer it would be to add a 2nd AE410 to my rig and run that at 2ohms....

ok, which store is it? the one on Queensway?

btw, what can you do with one BlackSmith that you can't do with 2x RH750?
which will be both lighter and cheaper ...

Thanks for the update. Steve's got paperwork for my Blacksmith this week, so I'm hoping it will arrive in Ottawa on the Thursday truck. Fingers crossed!

They should sell the Blacksmith Box for the RH450 and RH750 as a rack mount!! It IS a pretty awesome looking piece! I'd never need that power but it would look nice on a stack for sure.

RH750 + RH750 does not equal Blacksmith. Stated RMS output for both the 450 and 750 @ 4ohms is 235 watts. The Blacksmith is 924 watts. Big difference. See far right on this table from TCE (Long Term W_RMS 4R)...

They were carefully guarding these very info when my previous comment was made ...

My other comment regarding the issue after these info were released ... TC Electronic controversy...solved.

I own a blacksmith and have giggled regularly with it since January. Its a f*ing beast. Most potent and cleanest amp I ever played through.
