Same here on the Comp in the Middle. I tried that at a practice & the Spectra at a gig, and they're both good, but I like the Middle for my P-Bass... nice-n-smooth with a good, but not overdone mids presence.

In case anyone out there is thinking of grabbing a second BG250, musiciansfriend is now selling them for $259.61. Place it in your cart, and you'll see the 20% savings. Only downside, they are expected to ship 1.16.13, so, you won't have time to get the rebate form and upc code in before 1.7.13 for the free corona chorus pedal. The only way I can see getting the amp for $259.61 AND getting the pedal thru the rebate submission would be to call another online store that has them in stock and ask for a pricematch.

I think it just all depends who writes up the quote, no big deal. They said the same thing to me before, but ironically, quoted me $100 less than the price they couldn't beat.? lol

I just did the price match and sent them a link to the item in cart at MF, but they took the $324 price and quoted me 317.77. Still not bad i guess, and it is in stock. Sam Ash wanted $399 in store.

hmmm, when i price matched, I gave them the link to the $324 price and told them to place the item in the cart themselves to see the 20% off. you don't see the 20% off of $324 until its in your cart, and I'm pretty sure 'cart links' work by cookies so your link probably didnt show up when they clicked it. I don't know why this is, as it is not advertised on MF at all. I found out by luck because I had it in my cart already from the other day, and when I went to MF to look something else up today, I noticed the message in my cart for 20% off BG250! Try again, it all depends on the salesperson.

I purchased a BG250 less than a month ago from GC. I took the link listed, printed out the page, loaded up my BG250 and took it back to GC.

At GC I asked for a price match plus 10% per their 30 day price guarantee:

Got my refund + 10%.

I was asked if I called zzounds.com for a price match and I responded honestly with a "No".

I should have pointed out that the price match was with Sam Ash with an in cart item, instead I loaded the page on my Iphone and clicked check out to prove that I would not be charged taxes or shipping.

I had the amp in my car and was ready to return it, and purchace the BG250 from zzounds while standing in GC if they did not honor their polices. To their credit, they did. That is very good of GC.

Turned out to be a sweet deal for me.

Well, just picked up my second BG250 from GC, the first had a duff led on the tuner so it had to go back, and luckily in the meanwhile the price has plummeted.. So i was out the door with a new amp and a refund of $60... worth the gas.

I got my second BG250 last week and yesterday I called GC and cited the ad. They legally could not reimburse me for the New York state sales tax but they did agree to redo the actual item price so I will be getting $12 plus put back on my credit card. So they will do that.

I didn't know about the practice and I could have used it earlier this year on another purchase.

So, thanks for the holiday gift.

btw, I will report how the two units work at a gig I'm doing this Saturday. I did load on the comp in the middle and, as somebody else here I think reported, it sounds great at home ... but seems a little less defined at practice. So I'm going back to the SpectraComp.

After I read this thread I went to GC (I did not even have my receipt with me), asked the guy to print out my receipt and then told him that the amp is now cheaper on other place and even they (GC) have it on sale right now, they guy made a few calls and gave me 80 bucks back, needless to say I spent it all - and some more - in the same store but my point is that GC does delivery regarding its policies.
