I used mine last night with the band...it is definitely a fat, warm tone (I used the classic rock setting with the Spectracomp on 5 and the drive on 5). It doesn't quite get the gnarly bite that the B100r can get, make it makes up for it the way it sits in the mix and with depth.
Then we had a "debate" on a chord change in a tune. Busted out my iphone into the aux in and listened to the part (I won BTW LOL).
Really, for practice or gigging, the amp is an all-in-one solution. WIN!
As with all new gear though, I have to build confidence in that it won't blow up. I'll at least carry a backup DI with me just in case. No issues as of yet though. First gig report tomorrow night... |

Having been one who got a unit that went belly up in the first few hours of use, I'm definitely sensitive to that, but it seems like more are being sold, and there's only been the odd problem report here and there. I know forum reports are hardly good data, but just on a gut level... |

On a more serious note, 5 is definitely the magice number. Up from there it just continues to crank. Like I said before, the first time I ran the dual set up it was unreal when I put them both on 8. Way too damn loud for anthing other than a very loud gig without a PA. The aux line in is definitely useful. We record our rehearsals on a little Tascam digital deal and play them back on one of my amps. It's been good for critiquing our selves and listening for things to tighten up.

They beat MF current promo for 319.99. I got it for 309.00 flat and opted to try out their 4 payments method. Pretty excited to see how this turns out. I pray I don't get a lemon. Ill report back in a few days.

Last Sat played a annual house party with blues band. Leaving that nite, I spun around too fast and bumped the combo, pretty hard, into a brick pillar outside house. Next day I checked it out. Just wiped the brick dust off back bottom of combo. Only a tiny little scrape mark is there, didn't even cut thru. But I'm moving this combo around alot so prolly should invest in a cover for it. Just throwing a thick, beach towel over it as I stowe it in backseat area of my truck.
And dang it, I guess my uploading of SpectraComp didn't take afterall. While at home practicing, TP knob gave me original chorus again. I'm only able to attempt loading with USB cable from PC due to Stupid-Smart Ph issues I'm still having.
Keep getting that Not Connected prompt on PC screen. I've followed startup steps of MUTE button down when turning on amp. Seeing those two tuner lites come on. Not seeing anything happening on combo, lites flash, etc once I try to load. Does bass/inst cable have to be plugged in at the same time? Will lites flash on combo if load was successful?

I set mine down to lock the front door and the storm door swung in and caught it just right and left a noticeable dent on an edge.
After I got my cover, I hit a corner pretty good...enough to take some plaster off. The cover rode up, but all was well.
If you have an option for a bottom velcro strap, I'd say get it.

If you have an option for a bottom velcro strap, I'd say get it. | I am using my B100r Lecover for now but it doesn't cover the bottom 3 inches of the amp (fits perfectly on the rest of it including the whole for the handle). Thing is, the way I carry the amp, the bottom corners seem to the the most susceptible to the 2:30 am smashing the corner damages. So I will be looking for a cover if it passes this first gig test tonight. |

That's why the bottom strap that someone mentioned seems like such a good idea. I don't recall seeing it as an option when I ordered from LeCover. I might have to make one. |

As for cover, I recall somewhere back in this thread I believe, some have gotten a padded cover w/bottom velcro strap, may look into that. I load/unload my BG250 very carefully onto backseat floor space of my 4 door truck.
With backseats flipped up it stays put. I lay the thick beach towel across the top of amp so as not to bump around during transport protects the knobs too. But I guess even this lite, little beast can feel heavy at 2am, after gig-loadout where one is not as dainty moving it about when heading home.

I'm not trying to second guess you, I haven't had any problems with uploading from my phone. | Due to Stupid-Smart Ph data issues, can't utilize ph for loading apps for now. I've been using USB cable to PC and seems to get stuck on the upload step. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong still.
Now, I got next day email replies from TC-E when I asked for support on this issue. But it seemed I was able to load Sp-comp at that time, so I thanked them and said I got it.
When I turned TP knob back then, I did not hear the chorus effect come on. I did not use the TD or TP knobs that much while practicing with it home a couple weeks.
I think I then tried to load a different TP effect, was not noticing anything much with Sp-comp. After that, I guess I took it back to default chorus or it loaded the other chorus I wanted to try out. Because "chorus effect" is def back in play. But everyone seems to like the Sp-comp effect so I'd like to try it again. That is if it ever even took the first time. Think I'll get a bandmate to load the TP app onto thier phone and try it like that next. Peace, e

I am liking the BG250. It's not replacing the main rig but it's going to fill a lot of roles much more easily than my larger setup thanks to its portability. Very glad to have it.
Still glad to have the F too!

Also, How much different is this from the head tone wise? I want to pull the trigger on either the head or the combo.
Thanks
