Even tried a couple other USB cables I have already. I seem to be following the steps correctly but when I try to load say, Spctracomp effect, my PC screen shows a grey colored banner saying "not connected".
So Kuroth, pls let us/me know how you do with the USB loading method, maybe I'm doing it wrong. Not sure, thanks for any info you might share. e.

I Know that we are talking about apples and oranges, but the 2 are built to meet the same need, although at different price point and with different tonal goals.
I have a Markbass 151P cab as well as the BG250.
I broke my left wrist and the cast comes off on Monday. If my wrist will let me, I'll make some recordings next week.
Until then, I would like to know what other people think.

DS | I have no basis for the comparison. I would guess it would really depend on what you're looking for tonaly. I play prog and use effects. I like to be able to go for that gritty overdriven sound to a very "wet" trippy sound. The TC meets those needs nicely.

I cannot subscribe to an "abuse" theory when everything else works..except the TC units.
Given i am on my second one (which itself is faulty), I certainly have zero expectations of a long and healthy life from this thing..and frankly if i could get my money back i would be long gone. | That's a shame because they're great amps. Like every other mfg a few bad ones get out the door and it looks like you managed to get a couple. Most of us haven't had any problems with ours.
One thing I do with any new SS amp is do a burn in with it right after I get it. I leave it on for hours and even overnight and run it through all kinds of short on off cycles as well. Most electronic gear will fail quickly if it's going to and once you get past that with no issues it remains pretty trouble free.
If you're having so many problems with yours why didn't you return it within the "free look" period for refunds? Then you could have gotten you money back.
