So my amp had been working great for 2 1/2 months. Loved the clean tone I was getting out of it, and my bandmates even commented on how great it was sounding through my Goliath Jr. 210. Unfortunately, the volume control stopped working at practice a few weeks ago. Volume won't go up or down, it's stuck on one setting. I submitted a tech support request yesterday with TC Electronics, but haven't heard back yet. It's still under warranty, and I hadn't done anything out of the ordinary - no dropping, spilling, etc. Posting here in case anyone else has had the same issue.

Yeah I know! Good news is that TC got back in touch with me and is setting up a return for service, under warranty. Should get it back in a couple weeks (they said 7-10 days from when they receive it.) Working on getting it packaged up and sent out.

Can't wait to get it back, I love that little amp!

I wanna know the same thing. Here's my sitch:

I'm on a small island and it has even smaller venues. A guitarist's little 30-watt amp is blistering and gets heard just fine. I OTOH bought my gear second-hand and wound up with a 700 watt amp for which I MUST carry a cab stack around. It's impressive and sounds very nice but it fills my entire car and is a PITA to load in/out.

WHAT I WANT:

Small. Light. Powerful. Not noisy. Couldn't care less about Toneprint (Mac user, pedalboard geek, Android phone).

It should be able to run my choice of a SWR Goliath II (4 ohm 250 W) or Hartke Transporter 410 ( 8 ohm 200 W).

Happy new Year!!!

Is this little amp giggable with around 150 ppl for audience?

I just received my rs212 cab today. Gonna use it with an orange ad200 mk3.
But still i am interested in the bh250 in terms of size and weight. I am worried though if it cuts through a 5 ppl band for funk.
I think it will.

What do you say?

Probably not without FOH support. That is why I was asking why folks purchased and sold. Was it because it just did not have enough go juice? No one came back with an answer.

I'd say yes, if you use your gain correctly. I had to fiddle with a combination of not cutting the gain with the switch, and not being afraid of hitting the master knob pretty hard. I only had one BC212 8 ohm cab, so the amp was putting out, what, 150 watts or something? It was loud enough for a big club. But I'd of felt better with another cabinet. It's all I had, so I made due. It never shut down or gave me any problems being majorly cranked for hours on end though.

Well what was the positioning of your cab? Was it lifted or grounded? This could have played role in how well you hear. I have an Rs212 cab and i am thinking of getting this micro head. Someone said that it is even louder (perceived loudness i guess) than the ampeg pf-350 which is 250 watts at 8ohm.

Sitting on the floor. About 6' behind me. Big stage, way too loud monitors. It wasn't ideal. But it didn't quit. I dug the chorus tone print on one song. I'm realizing the bc cabs kind of suck. I'm used to Genz neox 212 cabs I guess. So I'm thinking a better cab might matter more.

Thinking of one of these for a practice amp but I think I'll wait a bit for more reviews to come in.

Update - just got my amp back from TC Electronics. Repaired - note said they replaced the volume Pot and it passed functionality tests. We'll see about that! I'll have to wait to get home to see if it is working right. I'll further be able to test it on Friday/Saturday for band practice and a gig. I'll have my backup with me in case it fails again, but I have to say I'm pretty pleased with their customer service. Quick turnaround on the warranty repair.

Consider one of the GK MB series - 200, 500 or 800. All small lightweight and powerful. 200 is tiny, 500 and 800 same size but slightly larger. Hard to beat IMO.

The TC sounds better then the ampeg did.

I mean I had the ampeg turned up higher to get the same volume as the Tc. Ampeg was at like 3 o clock while the Tc was at like 1.
