The combo is basically a slightly smaller RS210 with the RH450 head that can be removed from the combo. The cab is just slightly smaller, and hence probably just a tad shy on the low end versus the RS210 (the combo is the same size total size as the RS210, so they just took a bit off the top of the cab to make room for the head compartment). |

So it looks like the RH450 and 2x12 may be in order, though I had hopes of keeping it down to a combo.
Thanks guys. |

Thanks guys. | Woah there. Hold up now, take it from me, someone who actually owns the combo and 210 & 212 cabs. The combo has no lack of bottom end when compared to the RS210. I don't know how it was managed but the two sound identical. I've used both in numerous live situations, believe me, the combo will definitely invoke a lot of booty shaking. The 212 will obviously have more lows but its honestly not necessary when the 210 put out as much as they do. |

There must be some advantage to more internal volume with the cab, but I would again think it would have minor impact (or as you found, maybe hardly any impact at all).
I'm not a big fan of the combo thing, but it looks like a pretty cool design (removable head, and the same footprint (at least width) as the other cabs for stacking.
Those built in cart type things are typically pretty flimsy (not useful for dragging up stairs or over curbs) IMO. I prefer a heavier duty cart (like the Kart-a-bag) and components, but pure personal preference there. |

| | | | Yeah the cart part isn't that exciting, I don't really use it. However, having the head stored safely & securely in the cab is great. It's light, loud, & convenient. And to set the record straight, the combo is the EXACT same dimensions as the RS210. |

| | | | I guess if I must be completely honest, if you were to compare the two in a sound room, monitored by many automated leveling programs (as I have done in curiosity) you will find that the combo has a bit less output but only by a indiscernible amount. In a live setting, playing out, you honestly, honestly cannot hear a difference! I'm as baffled as the next guy but I am not complaining about the sheer success in this design. |

A software upgrade for more highs/ less roll off would be great. However, is this possible to distribute, how would you connect? I'm excited to wee where they take the Bass market... man I love being a bass player!

Great info guys, thanks. |

EDIT: But since I have the carrying case for the RH450 and footswitch, perhaps it's just simpler going with the lighter RS210 cab...

Anyone experience a "flapping"/slight buzzing sound from the 10" speaker on certain notes at about 1/3 volume? If I hit an A or below one of my 10" speakers will lightly buzz. Notes above an open A or A/5th fret on the E string are fine.
