I realize it's a long shot, but any chance anyone out there has compared these two in person?
The NeoX has never let me down, and even outdoors with a loud rock band, has delivered volume and tone wise.
But the RS212 looks interesting to me.
I'm curious.

The Genz Neox210 was clear without being boring/sterile. Some call the Neox cabs hi-fi. They do cover a nice full tone range, but hi-fi to me often means lacking a certain sweetness and character. This cab was very nice sounding. The tweeter was not harsh and the speakers felt in control while playing lower notes.
Subtle differences in various basses were really noticeable which, imo, shows there aren't any big humps in frequencies that a basses individual can get lost in.
The RS210 cab was smooth in the highs. No harsh tweeter here either. But a totally different take than the neox. More of a rock voice, mid heavy voice. Sharp, focused mid tone.I wouldn't expect it to go very low. But it will cut through a mix with that super mid focus type attack.

| | | | That's helpful. I got a sweet, sweet deal on a RH450+footswitch+bag, and was planning on using my beloved Neox212T...but I also think the TC speakers are great looking, and I love the stackability options. But I don't want to have to bring 2 cabs every time, where my NeoX could handle things on it's own. I will keep the Genz though, it's just too great of a cabinet. Plus, it's 4 ohms, giving me the full 450 on the TC.
Thanks for the input.

Thanks for the input. | Played Saturday outdoors from a deck overlooking a field with a small PA (15" sub + 12 + horn and 1200W per side). I only had room in the truck to bring an RS212. Against a Marshall half stack, a loud drummer and a two-fisted piano player I still didn't need to turn the RH450 above 11:30. And that's at 8 Ohms. Felt the bottom and also felt like I had plenty of headroom, too.
