Ya, I'm off the hook!

My AH350X is on the Mesa cab, and I just picked up the AH250 on the 1518 cab (with original soft covers!). Both sound GREAT, and I can mix and match cabs and amps for any gig!

Robin

I always thought that they were a great idea(Trace's port covers).I lost one when I was in college and had to improvise with a painted cream cheese container.Ahh...the poor days of college...

I've been using Trace Elliot GP11 Mk V AH150 head, then V-Type 4x8" combo
now I'm stick with my 1048H (2001) and there is no way I'm gonna sell it best cab I've ever played (though I like SWR Goliath clarity, but I prefer TE grit)

My rig! Trace Elliot AH200. Just bought it used. All for 300euros (420$). It is my first real amp, and it is BRUTAL! Great tone, very loud & clean.
Using it with 300w 8ohm cabinet, and it is still loud... I intend to add another 8 ohm cab...

number, please!

Hey Team Trace! I'm going to be joining your ranks soon, and was curious about the Hexavalve. Does it have an adjustable bias, or does it do the Mesa/Boogie thing where you have to buy their tubes? If the latter case is true, is it possible to get an adjustable bias installed?

Thanks! Also, any other info on the amp would be greatly appreciated!

It does not have an adjustment for bias however you don't buy tubes from Trace! Contact Shane at British Audio Service about having your amp modified for an adjustable bias.

I know the Valve series are quite rare, if something goes wrong with it, would it be impossible to find a suitable repair shop? The one I'm getting is apparently in mint condition and was recently retubed. Also, what years were the Hexavalves made?

Even though they are older models, Shane Radtke at British Audio Service can totally hook you up if something ever goes wrong. This is not true for all "classic" amps, but in the case of older Trace Elliot heads, with someone like Shane around, I would not be too worried about service.

Tom.

I want in. I've got an AH350SMX, Commando preamp, Trace 2x10 , and Trace 1x15 cabs. No pics yet. 1x15 is at my last bands practice space.
