TecAmp TCXS-115

Hi everyone,

I am looking for a new bass amp (150-300 Watts) and came across this combo.
Can anyone tell me a bit more about this combo.

It appears to be 180 Watts, the knob layout is similar to the TecAmp tigre. It has a 5" speaker and a 'tweakable' horn...
But that's about what I've been able to find.

How would such a combo compare to an Ampeg Micro VR (quality wise and sound wise)?
Or the new fliptop PF350 + 15" cab?

What would you recommend me? The TecAmp or the Ampeg (I can get them for roughly the same price)?
Or should I try others as well.
I tend to like a well difined, but warm and smooth sound. A bit old fashioned...

I used to have a Markbass (a bit lacking in character), an Asdown Mag 300 (not my sound, seemed better suited to guitar to me) and Vox T25 (really nice sound, but really underpowered).

For reference:
I play mainly fretless, and really like these sounds:
YouTube - Kate Bush Mother Stands for Comfort
YouTube - Big Sir - Blutraush (smooth interlude)
YouTube - Peter Gabriel - Mercy Street
And of course:
YouTube - Jaco Pastorius "Come On, Come Over"

After some googling (is that even a verb?) I found out a lot more.

Initially I could not find any info on the TecAmp website, but very well hidden somewhere on their site was the manual (in German, but that is no problem).http://www.tecamp.de/fileadmin/manua..._Combos_XS.pdf

But still, if somebody has some more experience with TecAmp amps, I would really like to know.
Hoe would you describe their sound? How does it compare to the typical Ampeg or MarkBass sound (I mention those, because these are most readily available for me)?
