You're welcome.
Oh wait, YOUR name is Cliff?
Sorry.
I'm curious about these amps myself. I'm not in the market for a "big" amp right now, but this amp is something I might consider getting as a stage amp in the future.

Fender TV Fifteen

I got one used from GC a couple weeks ago. It sat for about a year before I got enough cash to hammer down & take her home.
Everything I want in a bass amp
Simple all tube preamp
300-400 watts clean power
15" driver
DI out
Master volume
That tweed is way cool.
After hefting around my SVT410-HLF, Acoustic 600h (power), & ampeg V4B (preamp) this is a compact great sounding amp.
Tube tone, clean & quiet with plenty of power for small-medium gigs.
I read alot of griping that it is not all tube. I feel tube pre & solid state power is the way to go for bass. This amp is great sounding with all my basses. I am not a tube purist so my ear & ergonomics are what matter.
It is set up for passive basses. The gain stage od's fast with active basses(not my cup o tea)
Overall I love it & hope nothing ever takes it from me.

Read in a review about the TV Fifteen's tone stack:
On a contemporary amp, tone controls are Cut/Boost, with a setting of straight-up noon representing the center point. But the TV Fifteen has the passive ’50s Fender tone stack, where Bass and Treble controls are boost-only and the midrange is cut-only. For a flat EQ, put the Bass and Treble chicken heads at about 3 and the Middle all the way up to the full 12.

Is it really so? Does it mean the mid knob is boosting midrange on "1" and cuts at "12"? When I turn the mid knob to 12 it boosts, it doesnt cut...or am I wrong? Maybe they have changed it?..

Basgubben, you should watch the youtube video that Hnz posted above. Ed Friedland demonstrates it well.

What it means is that when you have mid at 10 then it's supposedly flat. It's cut-only because it has to be almost all the way up to be flat. When you turn it down to 1, you're cutting it as far as it will cut. Higher numbers still mean more of that freq range, it's just calibrated so that you can cut much more than you can boost.
It's also not technically cut-only, just as the treb and bass aren't technically boost-only because they give you that extra two numbers in the opposite direction.

Pretty cool system actually.
