| | | | Thank You, Genz Benz! So many people use forums as a place to vent when things go wrong. A place to bitch and moan, sometimes expanding a small problem into a rolling snowball of negative momentum. (Of course, I'm not referring to TalkBass )
Where are these people when something goes right?? Well, here I am!
I had just bought a new Genz Benz ShuttleMax 9.2. When I hooked it up, it sounded great, but one of the footswitch buttons didn't work. Bummer! Should I contact the retailer, or call Genz Benz?? I called Genz Benz.
Within 3 days, I had a brand new footswitch, with a postage-paid return label in the box for the old one to be sent back. Tech support was easy to reach over the phone, extremely nice and knowledgable, and the whole experience was as hassle-free as possible.
When you buy equipment, you're also buying into the faith and support of the company that makes it. For me, I think I made a great choice.
(no, I'm not affiliated with them in any way).
Just wanted to say thanks! |

| | | | That's great to hear... I'm currently shopping for a Class D head, and the streamlimer 900 is an amp I'm considering. Another thing I'm looking at is the company, whether they respond to phone calls, emails and things like that. It seems Genz Benz has high quality standards and great customer service.

I'm not sure which I prefer now, my Ampeg PF500 or the Shuttle through my Ampeg Classic 4x10 HE.
I also have a couple of other non-Ampegs (Hartke 2500 head and SWR Working Man's 2004) and they are now "on the block". They're nice, but between my Ampeg(s) and the Genz Benz, I don't see me using them.....again....ever.

It's nice to hear stuff like this, and from everything I hear about Genz, it's well deserved. I see their little micro amps and cabs around here more and more and I don't think it's all just about convenience and good sound, that much is available from a few sources. Taking care of people who are taking care of them is the other part. |

+1 I have not had to use their customer service, but have seen them help people on this forum many times.

I've had nothing but joy in using their products (Shuttle 6, Shutte 3 8" combo, STM-900). I had one small issue with my Streamliner when I first got it. Tech support (Jeff Genzler - Owner) said it sounded like a bad tube. He sent me a brand new head, with a pre-paid return shipping label. How THAT for customer service. I am a customer for LIFE.

It has gigged many times in a variety of situations.
Big Genz Benz fan here too. Here's last Saturday night's rig - a Streamliner 900 on top of a Neox 212 for the bass guitar, with a Shuttle 3 10" plus DI to the PA for the upright (you can see it to the right of the Neox):
p.s. Please excuse the harmonica stuck in my face.

I'm an "Ampeg guy" too & my GB Shuttle 6.0 is in my gig-bag every time as back-up & for when I'm lazy. SUCH a great li'l amp.
I'm never taking "2nd best" if I use the Shuttle.

| | | | I hope you don't mind me hijacking this thread, but with 2 Shuttle 3 users here this might be a good time to ask.
When I switch on my Shuttle 3 it comes on with a rather loud pop, and the speaker moves considerably. Is this normal? Does yours do that? |

Didn't ask about the speaker movement, guess i haven't noticed that. |

| | | | Thanks. I sent an email to Jeff. I had his address in my inbox, as he answered a query I had when I first got the amp. So yes, the company does have excellent customer support. |

But it went great the other night using it into the Neox 212. That said, this is what I'd like to run it through:
As to the Shuttle 3.0-8 -- great little amp, especially for upright where there is also a PA to use the DI into.
