Are there any vertical 2x10 combos?

I would like to see one.

Advantages:
Tilting would be more effective. My ears are not on my ankles.
Picking it up would be easier as I wouldn't have to bend down as far.
It could stack on a vertical 2x10 expansion cab for a linear 4x10 rig.
Smaller stage footprint than a horizontal 2x10.
More convenient height for setting a beer on top of it (just kidding).

Disadvantages:
Can't think of any.

Genz Benz makes one. I used to stand my SWR Goliath II Jr. so the tens were vertical, then stick an old DI I wasn;t using under it to tip it back a little bit. Worked great!

Also used to use 2 2x10's in a vertical 4x10 stack which was a good configuration.

These days I am using either a 6x10 or a 4x8 on top of a 1x15.

Ampeg Micro-VR comes quickly to mind.

Hi, here's my Avatar 210. I turn it sideways and put a 2x4 underneath to tilt it back.

Carvin.

Anything can be put the right way up if you don't mind having the maker's name sideways and squatting to make adjustments.

I'm running two 2x10s vertically myself, it's a good configuration.
I don't want the sideways logo or having to do yoga to get at the controls, though, due to my OMS (Old Man Syndrome).

The Ampeg Micro VR is a head+cab, but I already have that. I'm looking for a vertical 2x10 combo.

Leadfoot, nice trick with the 2x4, I'm doing that too.

wmheilma, I see the Genz-Benz CTR500-210T. That might be worth looking into.

Downunderwonder I see the Carvin MB210 but at 250w I'm looking for something stronger.

Turn Anycab on it's side. Speakers don't care.

A lot of times you can remove and reattach the badge if your OCD requires it.

Mike, I'm in a similar research project for home an rehearsal use. I am thinking of the Micro VR stack, or a Markbass CMD102P, or an Ampeg PF350 with some Markbass 210. I suppose there is nothing like trying things in a store...

RE: rotating cabs

I believe the OP wants a combo amp, and doesn't want to turn it on it's side - the controls would all be sideways.

I have Markbass 2x10 cab that I'm currently using with a separate head. It sounds good. I have heard good things about the Ampeg Micro VR too.

The GK combos are vertical, just staggered (think of a 2 on a die). Lightweight - 35 lbs - and you can add another 2x10 under it.

Tilting really doesn't accomplish much. 10" speakers don't beam as badly as 15"s, only frequency range you gain by tilting is some clicks and pops. It helps a lot more to elevate the cab and get it close to your torso. That way you get more feel without blowing everyone else away.

Ya.

When they're mounted sideways they'll beam like a 20" horizontally.
