Is there a cabinet that meets these requirements?

I may be in the market for a 4x10. I was wondering if there is a cabinet on the market that meets the following:

- Light weight, most likely neo-loaded
- Uber efficient, around 103 - 106 db per watt
- Somewhat smaller cabinet size, height is not a problem, but would like a depth that doesn't exceed 17 inches
- Sounds great (but that's a given ).

Tonally, I like a clear, three-dimensional sound with a present mid-range and tight-bottom. I like horns, but coaxial drivers sound more natural to my ears (so either high-frequency solution would be fine).

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Awkward. That looks to be right up the alley of something I'd be considering!

Despite what you may see in some advertising there's no such thing as a 4x10 with 103dB/watt or higher sensitivity. If you see claims for same they are false, and I'd avoid that manufacturer's products on general principle. Ampeg posts honest specs, and they represent the average of what's actually possible.

As for the smaller cab size, bass output capability is directly proportional to cab size. The smaller you go the less you'll have.

That's what I figured, Bill, regarding cabinet size vs. bass response. I'm mainly just looking for a cab that isn't as big as a whale.

Get a pair of 2x10s. easy to move, easy to leave one at home if you don't need it.
