I have never played Hartke amps, I'am thinking about buying the LH1000. How do you think this will work with my Schroeder 310212. They won't let me bring it home to try it. My truck is in the shop, and the cab won't fit in the mini cooper. |

| | | | I like the LH 1000. It gives my cab a deep warm tone with plenty of overhead on power. I don't have q crossover for highs, so I make use of the brightness switch to compensate. I've not heard the cab your asking about. You might try to find someone with the hartke willing to let you use theirs to test it out. |

| | | | This amp is some of the best money I've ever spent. Warmth from the tube, lots of power to get in the sweet spot....it is a little heavy though..

If you decide to return it you'd be on the hook for the shipping and maybe a restocking fee (15%) depending on the site, but you also avoid sales tax depending on the state).

| | | | Best head I've ever had. Hartke makes some of the best quality equipment, and you don't have to break the bank. I play through an Ampeg 410HLF and it sounds amazing. Your Schroeder 310212 will probably crank! If you really want to try it though, maybe wait until you get your truck back and bring your cab down to the store. The power and simplicity of the head will surely win you over.

In this craze of light weight "micro" amps the LH1000 seems heavy, but I racked mine in a 2 space gator rack and it's no big deal to me. I was a little cautious at first going in based on the simple design and wondered if the eq would be effective but after playing it in the store for about 30 min I was hooked. With the brite switch engaged and some eq adjustments you can get some mean, sizzly slap tones. We're talking has the booty and gets the twink type of slap. Fingerstyle is also there in spades and volume abounds aplenty! One thing to remember when trying this amp out is a "flat" eq setting is something close to this: bass @ 2ish, mid @ 8-10ish, and treble @ 2ish. Remember this before you go play with everything at 5 and wonder why it might not sound that great. No experience with Schroeder, but for the price of the Hartke, plus Larrys CS, you really can't go wrong. |

I spent the last year or so doing the micro thing, but found out the "lightweight/east to transport" thing is not that big of a deal to me. Put it in the gator case and no worries. It works great plus I just prefer the sound of the Hartke to anything else I've owned, so I'll gladly deal with some extra weight for that. |

But just don't ding/scrape/shoot lots of bullets into it or anything like that.
