I liked the look of my Markbass when I first had it and now I think I would prefer a more vintage look...Any suggestions on how to make the Amp part less Yellow would also be great. I don't want to damage anything and be able to put it back the way it was originally if I ever sell it.
A little bit of photo shop

Step 1: use very low tack masking tape to cover the yellow parts of the head - then tape over that with black electrical tape (low tack masking tape so it doesnt pull the paint off when you remove it, but its possible that just the electrical tape will be fine).
Step 2: replace the plastic corners with chrome ones (if you can find them)
Step 3: replace the metal grill with a silver fender-style one (or attach it over the original)
Step 4: Get a Fender black-face face-plate and attach it over the front, enough to cover alot of the head but not too much that you dont have access, hopefully the holes that are meant to hold the fender controls will be sufficent enough for you to see the Amps LEDS

Nice...I like this a very much. This is what I did tonight, I can change it to silver later if I want. I'm going to make a new amp cover maybe dark blue with Markbass on it...no dial numbers or other wording.

Actually pretty easy to implement on some designs even in their present incarnations. And once a company designs specifically for detachable face-plates, it gets better yet.
EDIT: In the past I've used colored tapes cut just so, to mask undue silkscreened aberrations I considered superfluous - like real big brand name logos and stripes and anything that gets in the way of CLEAN.

Question about #3
Step 3: replace the metal grill with a silver fender-style one (or attach it over the original)
HOW do you attach the fender grill cloth over the markbass metal grill. It's a really tight fit.
thanks |

thanks | I didn't really have a tough time (hot glued the cloth along the edge of the metal frame (my glue gun is the big super hot one)...the material I used was fairly thick also. I think I'm going to hot glue a plastic edge to the metal to give it a straight line later and then cover it with the cloth.
