Thinking of buying MarkBass 104TH

Sign in to disble this ad
As the title says I am planing on buying this

I found a greeeat bargain on it, so my questions are:

Anyone have any opinions or generally something to say about this amp? Id like to know, especially from those of you who have tried it.

Any recommendations on a top? Yea I don't have a top yet lol.

I was also very determined to buy the CMD 102P model, but when this aweswome offer came I really had to think about it.

If I buy the 104 id probably afford a top on max 1000 bucks. So, any opinions on what I should buy?

I got a CMD 102p and it's awesome and very loud for the size. The cab is really good too but in both cases you gotta like the Markbass signature hid mid boost because there is plenty in them.

I like my 104HF a lot. I use a MarkBass SA450 with it. You'll probably hear the mids better than you're used to. This is especially good in live situation. It might sound a little odd to you on it's own. I just dial out some of the mids when I use it at home.

Right. They also try them using the settings they're used to seeing instead of using their ears.

Yea I might fall for the 104. It's good to know that you have more than enough power. And I think that much mids is just an upper hand, because then you get more punchier and clearer sound.

Edit: Btw. how is the bass on this cab? do you feel you get enough response? Because I might buy a 5 string one time, so I need the designated response.

No problems using a 5

HR is a little smaller and has the ports in the rear of the cab.

The HF has a little more lows because of the slightly bigger cab

okey, thanks for all answers

Just one more question

Lets say I have a Little Mark III on top of this 104 cab. How much room can i fill with this rigg? Ive practiced on a 50 watt guitar combo for 4 years so I have no idea if I can fill up a whole stadion or just a little phonebooth.

If it's a 4 ohm cabinet, you'll fill up about 100 phonebooths.

I`ve used LM II + 104HF many times at clubs with an audience of 4-600 people. No problems. Great rig!
