thinking fearful and stuff

hello tbers and tbettes.. if such a thing even exists :P

so i decided to invest in new equipment after my horrible horrible first experience on bass with a random schecter and some unknown combo

got rid of that and went with a fender am p axe (never thought a real bass could sound so good.. before trying :P, but seriously it was worth it) and a mesa walkabout so now i'm thinking about closing the rig with a fearful kit

the thing is.. i'm a mediocre bassist :| so i decided to first stop by and ask tb's opinion on the mesa/fearful coupling as i did not find much searching..

That combination could work, but it depends on which cab and what you want. Got more specifics?

yeah i'd probly get the 15/6 cab and would like to do lots of blues, hard rock and maybe some metal

hmm i don't know what specifics you might be referring to other than that but that's all i got :|

I'd aim for a 1212/6 with a walkabout. If you have the combo, it might work OK paired with a 15/sub.

+1, the 1212/6 is a 4 Ohm cab and will sound fantastic with the walkabout. A 15/6 is only a little smaller, but has both less cone area and more impedence, so it won't go as loud as the 1212/6. The downside is that the 1212/6 will cost more than the 15/6, but I think it will suit the amp better.

Unless of course you add a 15sub... Then again, if you are going the 15/6 and 15sub route it may be better to get / build a 1515/66! And then add a 15sub again... or....

maybe just a 1212/6 after all.
