I've been thinking about this one for a while now and I decided I want to add a low weight ,one trip rig to my arsonal and ditch one of my heavier rigs. I'd like to go with a Markbass or a Shuttle to pair up with this 4 ohm 500 watt 15 I have. My question is how do these two compair? Is there something else I'm over loooking?

I'd hold onto that little Ampeg you've got, and SAVE up for one of your tiny micro heads you want.

You WOULD miss your BT-15.

Not only that, Vintage gear is a good investment holding.

You can't play a bar of gold or a trunk of bonds!

Depends on your personals preference, but I find the LMII/III to be louder, bass-ier and have a flatter sound than the shuttle. The shuttle has more sparkle, and more features. Some people say the Little Mark has a tone profile more similar to Ampeg.

They both sound good, but I find I prefer the LMII having owned both at the same time and done many comparisons.

How about the Orange Tiny Terror Bass? It's very vintage sounding.

I hear the F-1 kind of cool.

There are MANY threads discussing and comparing the G-B and Markbass. Do a search for Shuttle 6.0 and for Markbass (model of your choice). You'll find plenty of info.

Just FYI, I'm a 60's bass player who finds that the Shuttle 6.0 sounds wonderful.
