I have finally got my rig together. For those who posted in threads about it, I had just restored an old Ampeg V4 2 x 15 folded horn cab. Coupled it with a GK700RBII and am quite pleased with the sound, although I think those speakers may need reconing. It sounds quite distorted, which I am sure is not the GK 'growl' as is quite often referred too. While it has a cool tone, it's not quite what I am after.
Will probably buy a GK cab and distortion pedal for it, but not any time soon. I live in a rural area at the moment and not playing in a band. The cab is more of a collectors thing for me rather than a working amp...well, it could be a working amp if it didnt take three people to take it up two sets of stairs!!
Here is a pic of my new rig

Cheers,
Jordan

if im correct that cab can only around 200 Watts... Your GK may be to much for those speakers, I had to be extremely careful with volume and bass when i had a v4b cab like yours. You also cant tell what the cab sounds like till your 20 feet away...
