Thought on this combo - Ampeg Pro Neo 410 Cab w/ GK 1001RB II

Sign in to disble this ad
Anyone try this combo out or hear it? I am thinking of getting the Ampeg Pro Neo 410 but I may like to roll with the GK 1001RB II as the head instead of the Ampeg SVT 7.

Any thoughts appreciated -

That's hard to answer because what you want to hear is so subjective. I would suggest you go to a store that has both products lines and hook them up to judge for yourself. You can also check TB though the search function. As far as the head and cabinet working together I don't see it as a problem.

I'd rock that rig with great pride.

Yeah, I'm having a hard time tracking that cab down and I'm in Brooklyn/NYC. It sounds sweet in the Ampeg YouTube vid but I'm seeing issues about the SVT Pro 7 so I think the GK 1001 and this cab would be sick.

The issues with the 7 Pro seem to be limited to its first run. People who have bought them since then don't seem to be having the issues the first batch of folks did. But Ampeg makes good on the warranty if you do have a problem. GK's a good product too, but the 7 Pro is possibly the best hybrid I've ever played (disclaimer: I have not played them all, especially newer models, but I've played a lot).

I have played the 1000RB II, btw. Can't say anything bad about it. Just not my thing.
