I just bought an Ampeg Svt7 pro on Craigslist for 400.00 to replace my 15+ year old svt3 pro. I play through the 8x10 "fridge" cab. Don't know much about the 7 so was looking for some feedback.

Good choice? What do you want to know? Search through "Amp Forums" and you will find plenty of feedback about the 7 PRO.

I think you'll be happy when comparing it to the SVT3. I had a 7 pro for a while, and thought it was just alright. It didn't sound bad. It's a HUGE power upgrade from your 3, so that'll make a difference. In the end, it didn't really sound like I wanted it to, but I can see where it could be a perfect amp for a certain sound. It's not really the 7 pro...but more Ampeg's entire line of solid state amps. I just haven't found one that thrills me. I think you definitely upgraded though.
