Three 8 ohm cabinets with Fender Pro 800 amp?

Sign in to disble this ad
The Fender Pro 800 is a fantastic amp. Very 'fender' sounding and heaps of power. Hugely under-rated. To get it cranking I have been running two 8-ohm cabinets - mesa 4x10 and EV 1x15. This then brings the load down to 4 ohms, which gets 800 watts from the amp.

The Fender PRO 800 can run at 2 ohms for 1200 watts - BUT can I run another 8 ohm cabinet without doing any long term harm to the amp? Thats three 8 ohm cabinets? Does sound good - have added another 2x10 cab..thanks for any help.

I have (2) Fender Cabs rated at 4 OHMS, 810Pro and a 215Pro,I have connected them to test them at 2 Ohms. I do the math ( 2.67 ohms) and that's not below 2 ohms and it should work but its not the optimal hook-up......
