Any TB'er's who have owned both a Tfunk 420 and the 550? I was wondering the percieved difference in headroom and volume. Thanks!

No expirience with those amps, but I can tell you, if their numbers relate to their wattage, there's not alot of difference. As far as volume goes, having adequet speakers is much more important than the 130 watts.

I would love for someone to answer this, as I have a 420 and sometimes wonder about getting a 550 for this reason and this reason only.

Let's put it this way: if you have 420 watts, then 840 watts will get you an extra 3dB. 4200 watts will double your volume (+10dB).
So, as Rickenboogie said: not enough difference between 420 and 550 to worry about.

Still looking for some specific real world experience. Not trying to push sine waves in an infinitely large & silent room.
