Thunderfunk Website Down

Sign in to disble this ad
I just tried pulling up the Thunderfunk site to download a manual and got redirected to an "account suspended" page.

I wonder if Dave accidentally let his domain lease lapse? Does anyone have his number so he can be reached about this? All I have is an email address.

I just noticed that too, here I am checking to see if anyone else noticed. I hope everything is OK for Dave.

Could have easily happened if his credit card on file with the ISP expired.

I just did a whois on Thunderfunk's domain. According to the info the domain is good through "Expiration date: 28 Mar 2011 17:34:00". Maybe Dave is just changing providers.

+1. The domain registrar and the ISP aren't necessarily the same. This is the source of the message: www.w3.org
and that's not a domain registrar.

Kinda weird. Performed a TraceRoute and WhoIs on thunderfunk.com. Getting ping responses and full resolution to a DC in Orange County, CA. Looks like the site definitely suspended. If the Orange Cty address is a Data Center and their web servers reside there, the DC may have suspended services to the servers for some reason. Hope they get it up soon.

Yeah, it's still resolving. There are several reasons the site could be down. It could have gotten hacked for instance, but generally in cases like that, you just put up a "placeholder" page with minimal info on it while you get the site back up properly or restore from a clean backup.

It just concerned me, and it's hard for me to believe that someone on this forum couldn't have contacted Dave by now. I would like to keep this post alive until such time someone finds out what is actually going on.

I hope everything is OK.
