time for a combo?

ok, so with my power amp officially fried, I'm looking at a chance to have a bit of a change.
currently my rig is: BBE pre > Acoustic image power amp > 2x aguilar DB112.
I love a fairly dark, smooth sound normally, sometimes with a bit of grit.

However much I love this rig, I've been considering a Markbass mini CMD121 for the small club gig I have regularly, and then adding one of the aggies for bigger gigs (we have PA support).
I've played through one in store and loved the tone, but didn't get it cranked heaps.

My other option is going for the Orange bass terror with the aggie cabs.

My dilemma: if I go the Markbass, the convenience would be great, but I would end up with an obsolete aggie. And I'm not sure how it'd work with an aggie as a stack.
if I go Orange, well, it will be cheaper, but very similar to what I've got now.

now that the terror has been out for a while and road tested, what are peoples thoughts?

also any thoughts on the CMD121 would be appreciated

Try one of the markbass or other miniheads with your current cabs? Those things are about like carrying a book or can fit in a gigbag with a big pocket on it or come with soft carrying cases you can sling over your shoulder, not exactly a combo but still one trip in, one trip out with a free hand to shake hands with.

hey! good advice I think I might go with that actually.
I love my cabs. However I popped one of the speakers on saturday night, so that will have to be replaced It had already been damaged and repaired, but it finally gave up, so I might take the opportunity to replace them with deltalites to help a bit with weight (and they're also cheaper than Aggie replacements)
