Time for new speakers 1x15 and 2x8

I'm not really sure how to start here, but it looks like it's time for some new speakers for my Carvin RL6850. It's a combo amp with 1x15 and 2x8 built in.

What brands do you all recommend that won't break the bank? I play in a band that does reggae-ish, rock, and funk, mostly high energy jams. I like a punchy sound like Mike Gordon has, but also need good low end for the reggae songs.

Ordering replacements directly from Carvin would cost around $300 so I would like to keep it below that.

I appreciate any recommendations and look forward to your help on finding the right speakers!

$300 is a great price for 2-8s and 1-15. I would just order all Carvin Neos and be done with it. A big plus will be the weight reduction that will come along with converting to Neo. Its good to see someone still using the RL6815.

I'd go with the Carvin's, too. Maybe check E-Bay for better prices?

I have been really happy with the Redline. It fits my needs perfectly and was sounding great. I found it in a pawn shop for under $300!

Anybody else have any suggestions?

Based on what? Do you know the T/S specs of the drivers he wants to replace? Without either knowing them, or alternately having computer modeled his cab for the specs required, any recommendations are about as accurate as the weather forecast for three weeks from next Tuesday.
