tnt tour adding a cab

Sign in to disble this ad
i play a 5 string bass 1/2 down through a tour tnt 115...want to get more power while jamming...what is the headliner 210 gonna do vs the 410...i'm a metal head that plays both metal and bar crap...just want deep tight bass!!

A lot of views but no reply's...let me ask again...i have a peavey tour tnt 115 and was wondering what adding a 210 or 410 cab would do besides tighter bass...what are the pro's of this for live jams?

I have never tried to add extra cases to my TNT, I have been always amplified by the soudn system and mixing both of the low & high channel output of the TNT, then directly to the mixing console used in the gig....

what is the 210 and 410?
peavey as well?

2x10''
4x10''

If it is a Peavey 410, the 15 will basically become useless. The 15 is going to struggle to keep up volume wise especially if both cabs are 8 ohms each. The 410 will go lower and be louder than the 15 (in most cases) because of the increased speaker area.

I think buying a Peavey 410 or something better is the way to go for jamming and bar gigs. I suggest leaving the 15 at home or selling it. I would not go too much bigger than a 410 for bar gigs if you have a PA system to go through. If the PA system will not support bass tones, then get two 410's.

The 210 would compliment the 15 nicely, but I think you should go for a bigger cab to get more low end out of your speakers.

EDIT: I misread something here. The Peavey TNT 115 is a decent setup, but I think you need to upgrade your gear. A 500 watt or higher head and a 410 is the way to go. I think you need to get out of the combo world. Adding a speaker to the combo setup will get you louder, but will not give you much room to create ANY tone. I think the combo is around 165 watts?

Good bass tone starts with your hands.
